So first day of not ungodly heat that I was able to drive the Mustang in a while (if the top isn’t down, I rarely drive it). Temp gauge isn’t registering at all when it used to work as designed.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Little bastards chewed through the temp sender wire, right down to the main harness- this is going to be a bitch.

I found a pile of white fluff on top of the battery yesterday, not sure where it came from, but a nest was being created. No other issues were found. Had driven that vehicle since May, so no idea how long this has been going on.

M y neighbor’s F150 , (2.7 EB king cab, ) got chewed on just sitting in his driveway in front of the house.  We put out traps all over but never caught anything... just hoping they don’t develop a taste for Subaru wiring...

Yeah, I've heard they have a capsaicin based wrap. I've also heard it isn't as effective as we would all hope.

My current and my 06 Subaru seemed to be safe from chewing, even with some evidence of rodents tracking up the engine bay.

Yeah, pack rats are a menace here.

I Shit one a few years ago at my moms house. It had nearly destroyed a bay window by pissing all over.

Dryer softener sheets are said to help. At least since I have started using them the van and race car have been free of mice.....

Yikes! H opefully that’s the only circuit that got damaged. The rest of the harness there looks untouched , so you should be able to repair that wire without having to pull the upper intake.

I was able to just unwrap the end of the harness enough to get some good wire exposed for a butt connector. My soldering skills are severely lacking.
